We all have reasons that require an occasional escape from the requirements of everyday life.  It’s amazing how just a couple of days away from work, home and sometimes our kids, can restore a person’s energy and put a more positive spin on life in general.  Not to mention the importance of downtime with the people closest to us.

Step one…. Check into Radisson Hotel Santa Maria-

It is dog-friendly to keeps all tails a ‘wagging and there is plenty of free parking. During the day, you can hang out at the large swimming pool. If you would like a cocktail, there is a nice bar to have an appetizer or nightcap.

Step two…Hit the trail.  Did you know that the Radisson Hotel in Santa Maria is only 8 short miles from the Cottonwood Canyon Winery which is the start of The Foxen Canyon Wine TrailCottonwood Canyon is a local’s favorite.  Check out the wine caves while you are there.

This Foxen Canyon Wine Trail is several miles of beautiful winding roads where you will get to pass by everything from barns, growing grounds, farmland, simple tasting rooms and palatial estates. Visitors and locals are mesmerized by the scenery.  The mountain range is spectacular and the architecture is interesting.  Most importantly, some of the wines are sensational.  Many of the wineries on the Trail are award-winning and even the non-drinker will surely enjoy the scenic drive and the welcoming friendly people at the impressive facilities in the area.  So, hit the trail.  Relax, enjoy and have some fun.
