A group of friends recently visited DAOU Winery in Paso Robles.
I’ve been to several wineries in Paso, but DAOU is without a doubt one of the nicest properties I’ve visited on the Central Coast. The ambiance inside, where the pours and tastes take place, is elegant, stately, and contemporary. The views out the full-size windows, are panoramic, to say the least. Views as far as the eyes can see of majestic oak trees, situated amongst the coastal sage, is a beautiful backdrop to enjoy divinely articulate wines.
What a spectacular corner of the world located in the heart of California’s Central Coast. The winery is something out of Falcon Crest. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and gracious. The wines are rich and light. We ordered lunch, and sat and enjoyed it inside with a bottle of one of their reasonably priced reds…the pairing worked, the company was perfect, the adventure a success.
It’s often the simple things that we do that become our greatest moments. Riverbench is a quaint little winery in the heart of Santa Maria. Beautiful setting and tasting room… A perfect place for sharing a bottle of Pinot and your soul with someone special.
