City of San Luis Obispo
Are you hungry for Mexican food?
If you are in the San Luis Obispo area and hope to find a great place for good old, authentic Mexican dishes…. try Pepe Delgado’s Mexican Food and Cantina at 1601 Monterey Street. It is a fun place to go for lunch, brunch or dinner.
The restaurant is old school. The floors are red tile. The walls are painted like old Mexico and are decorated with Mexican blankets, colorful, sequined Sombreros, and Toucans. Walking in the door makes you feel like you go back to a much calmer and quieter way of life. The vibe, when you walk in, is relaxing and the smell of fresh food and spices fill the air.
If you crave crispy tortilla chips… Pepe Delgado’s bottomless chips are served up warm. They are the lightest and crunchiest in the county. Pair them with a Cadillac Margarita and it’s a party.
Ohhhh the Nachos. They were piled high and loaded with generous servings of ground beef, a mountain of shredded cheese and fantastic guacamole. The food is delicious and the prices are low. Pepe Delgado’s is open 11am-9pm daily and closed on Mondays.
